**IMMEDIATELY HIRING**

At 84 Lumber we're immediately hiring a Warehouse Person in our window warehouse in Ahtens. AL.

This Warehouse Associate monitors the delivery paperwork flow to ensure customer deliveries are delivered on time, group and route deliveries of loads according to designed geographic areas, assist in the building of loads and freight handling as necessary, maintain the store special order program and other sales programs as assigned by the Store Manager.

  • Maintain special order program
  • Coordinate delivery times and total hours for load building, checking and staging
  • Prepare delivery analyses to improve delivery efficiency
  • Maintain accurate records of all deliveries, addresses
  • The job isn't easy, it requires a lot of lifting of doors and window in both hot and cold conditions
  • You will have the opportunity to learn all about exterior door and windows and what it takes to work in and at some point possibly manage a warehouse or department for 84 in Lincoln or across the country.


Schedule: 7am-4pm Monday - Friday  

Pay: Starting at $17 an hour.

Work Environment
This position requires working in a highly precarious place and near moving mechanical parts. This position requires working outdoors and being exposed to wet, humid, extremely hot or extremely cold conditions. This position is exposed to vibrations, risk of electrical shock, airborne particles and toxic chemicals.

Physical Demands
Requires frequent standing, walking, hearing, use of hands and arms, grasping, handling, feeling, climbing, balancing, crawling, stooping kneeling, crouching, and lifts up to 80 pounds. Rarely this position will be sitting.


Responsibilities/Duties


Required Skills

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; effectively present information to others one-on-one.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding and carry out simple one or two-step instructions
  • Experience working in a team atmosphere.
  • Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment.
  • Must take and pass drug test and consent to a background check.
  • Work in outdoor / indoor conditions, and ability to load and unload lumber and other building materials with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs 

Preferred Skills


Required Experience

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1 to 3 months related experience and/or training.
  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a warehouse environment strongly preferred.
