Description/Job Summary


Reporting to the House Manager, the Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring the inside of the home is in pristine condition in addition to following the principals’ standards of laundry duties.  They are expected to be hardworking, trustworthy, and have a desire to “serve” the principals’ changing desires.  They are to present themselves in a professional manner in the designated uniform.  They will respect the boundaries and quiet times of the principals.

This is a salaried position.  The Housekeeper os expected to make every effort to satisfy the principals’ scheduling.  Collaborating with the House Manager and taking direction from them, the Housekeeper is expected to provide a superior level of service and preparation of the home.


  • Reporting any safety hazards to the House Manager
  • Grocery and household shopping
  • Running errands
  • Mopping
  • Vacuuming
  • Dusting
  • Laundry
  • Ironing/steaming
  • Kitchen cleaning (dishes, equipment, refrigerator, inside of cabinets, etc.)
  • Bathroom cleaning
  • Sweeping
  • Emptying trash
  • Making beds/changing linens
  • Mending clothes and linens
  • Dry cleaning drop-off and pickup
  • Disinfecting gym equipment
  • Refilling diffuser oils
  • Reporting any item that needs further attention after cleaned
  • Tidying up
  • Communicates with the House Manager about needed or low on stock items
  • A gentle touch and caution with all the components of the house
  • Communicating any directives from the principals to the House Manager
  • Completing their daily checklist of duties when the principals are present
  • Following the House Manager’s seasonal cleaning task list

Required Experience

  • 5+ years of experience housekeeping in a fine household
  • Preference is housekeeper live within or near the Roaring Fork Valley
  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • Ability to work with the full team of staff and follow their directions
  • Excellent communication skill and command of the English language
  • Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screening
  • Experience in the special care of fine linens and valuables
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Legal authority to work in the United States
  • Always be presentable in a uniform when working for the principals

Required Qualifications

  • Legally able to work in the United States
  • Must be willing to submit to a background check: criminal/financial
  • Willing to participate in random and pre-employment drug testing
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Flexibility in scheduling with the willingness to work additional hours as needed
